Lot Clearing Service Area: Arlington & Surrounding Areas

Service Area — Arlington, VA

Arlington Lot Clearing connects homeowners with licensed land clearing contractors throughout Arlington County, Virginia. We serve all Arlington neighborhoods, with particular experience in the dense, close-in corridor lots, the stream-valley properties bordering Resource Protection Areas, and the redevelopment and addition projects driving much of the county's current clearing demand.

Neighborhoods We Serve

Rosslyn, Courthouse & Clarendon (22201, 22209)

The Rosslyn-Ballston corridor's close-in neighborhoods combine high-density redevelopment with some of the tightest lot access in the county. Clearing work here is almost always tied to a specific project — an addition, a rebuild, a new patio or fence — and equipment access constraints mean compact machinery and hand-clearing are the norm rather than the exception.

Ballston & Virginia Square (22203)

Ballston and Virginia Square see steady infill and redevelopment activity, and lot clearing here regularly runs into the county's 2,500-square-foot land disturbance threshold once a project's staging area and equipment access are factored in. A landscape conservation plan is required above that threshold, which our network contractors build into their project timelines from the start.

Cherrydale, Lyon Village & Westover (22207)

These older streetcar-suburb neighborhoods have some of Arlington's most established tree canopy — and, correspondingly, some of its most common invasive plant problems. Running bamboo planted decades ago is a recurring issue on Lyon Village and Westover's older bungalow lots, often spread well past its original bed and across shared property lines. Cherrydale's proximity to wooded stream corridors means some lots also border mapped Resource Protection Areas.

Donaldson Run & North Arlington's Stream Valleys (22207)

North Arlington neighborhoods near Donaldson Run, Windy Run, and Gulf Branch sit above steep, wooded ravines that drain to the Potomac. Lots backing onto these stream valleys frequently fall within a Resource Protection Area buffer, where vegetation removal is restricted and trees may be protected from removal regardless of a homeowner's project plans. Any clearing project here should start with a check of the RPA map, not the chainsaw.

Arlington Ridge & Aurora Highlands (22202)

Arlington Ridge's terrain overlooking the Potomac and Crystal City includes some of the county's steeper residential slopes, where lot clearing has to account for erosion control alongside the usual brush and stump work. Aurora Highlands' denser, more urban lots present access constraints similar to the Rosslyn-Ballston corridor.
